Online Schooling

I guess it’s been a while, hasn’t it? Today is the first day I’ve stayed home from school. And I don’t think I’ll be going back either. My parents, as well as I, decided that online schooling was the right option for me. Public schooling was too much for me this year and, quite frankly, it kicked my tail. I’m excited to start my online classes, which could be as soon as next week. I am going through the enrollment processes right now.

What’s even better is that I can work at my own pace and I have so many options for electives. I can also take AP classes when I’m a junior! I guess I’ll follow up on this post after I’ve started.

My mother says I’ll have to go out on weekends and on my free time for frequently now, which is reasonable. I don’t know what kind of things I’ll plan to do, maybe roller skating or bowling. She said going to the mall with my friend doesn’t really count. I guess I’ll figure it out.

The whole scenario is weird, but not in a bad way. It’s just different because I’ve been in public school my whole life, I’m not sure what to expect. With that being said, I’m filled with relief that I don’t have to go back. I really couldn’t see myself dealing with public school for the next four years, I couldn’t even imagine myself making it through freshman year. So I’m glad something was done to solve the issue, it feels like a weight has been lifted. Grandpa says that he’s been wanting me to do online schooling for the past two years! I could only nod because I’ve been begging my mom for quite a while too.

That’s all for this entry, I guess the next one will be an activity review, look out for it!
